York Music Hub announce the launch of online Sharing site #YMHShare - an online forum which features music making and creativity from the young people of York, which celebrates all the fantastic talent within our city. We have also launched YMH Online Learning. This will be a dedicated section of #YMHShare where downloadable resources, Youtube live and Zoom music making sessions will be posted for anyone to get involved with.
York Music Hub Zoom Choir - Mondays at 2:15pm
Open to any singer aged 8-18 from York and the surrounding area, this is the chance to connect with other singers, take part in fun vocal warm-ups to develop your vocal technique, and learn songs in a range of styles. All welcome to tune in to these lively singing sessions suitable for all ages, led by local singer and singing leader Jessa Liversidge. Get everyone involved and lift your spirits with songs and singing games, from well-known school assembly songs, partner songs and rounds to classic pop tunes and even some new songs to learn. Ukulele Stars Tuition - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am
Fun and interactive Bi-weekly Youtube ukulele lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays led by Steven Hawksworth of ‘Hawkulele’ fame. Sessions will be suitable for all ages - no previous ukulele experience necessary.
GCSE/A Level Zoom Composition Sessions for KS4 and KS5 - Wednesdays at 11:00 am
Curriculum based music composition tutorials which will run throughout the term, led by Christian Topman. The tutorials will be on Wednesdays at 11am and will be delivered via Zoom but will also be available every week to catch up on our Youtube channel. These sessions are aimed at students in Year 9 -13 and students will need to access the Zoom app in order to join in with the live sessions. (GCSE and A-LEVEL) and students will be able to contact Christian directly at
