Admissions into any school are governed by its admission policy which is written, determined and administered by the school's admissions authority. For Community and Voluntary Controlled schools, the admissions authority is the Local Authority. For Academy schools the admission authority is the Governing Body or Academy Trust of the school. Following the conversion to academy status the South York Multi Academy Trust becomes our admissions authority. Between 08 October and 07 December 2018 all admissions authorities for schools in York jointly conducted a consultation on admission arrangements for the admissions rounds for entry in September 2020.The closing date for comments was 07 December 2018. After considering any comments received, the MAT board has, in its role as an admission authority, now formally set (‘determined’) these arrangements on 29 January 2019. The Published Admission Number (PAN) is the number of pupils it is intended to admit into the first year group of school. The number for Archbishop of York’s CE Junior School for 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 is 60 places.
